 Shipped to Atlanta

The Scoop:Nance averaged 5.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 19.9 minutes across 61 bench appearances for the Pelicans in 2023-24. His role in Atlanta is unclear, as Clint Capela and Onyeka Okongwu will likely both feature ahead of him in the frontcourt rotation. Regardless, Nance has displayed versatility on the defensive end as well as an improved outside shot, converting 41.5 percent of 1.1 three-point attempts per contest last season.

Good to go Saturday
Nance (ankle) isn't on the injury report for Saturday's Game 3 against the Thunder.

The Scoop: Nance was held to just 14 minutes of action in Game 2 due to an apparent right ankle injury. However, Nance should be available and serve as one of New Orleans' primary frontcourt options off the bench in Game 3.

Practices Friday
Nance (undisclosed) was a full participant in practice Friday, Jim Eichenhofer of the Pelicans' official site reports.

The Scoop: Nance left Wednesday's Game 2 loss to the Thunder in the third quarter favoring his right leg and grabbed at his ankle as he walked to the locker room. He didn't play at all in the final frame. On Friday, coach Willie Green said that despite the soreness, Nance "went through a full practice." This is good news for the Pelicans, who are still without Zion Williamson (hamstring).

Returns from locker room
Nance (leg) has rejoined the Pelicans bench after a brief trip to the locker room during Wednesday's Game 2 against Oklahoma City, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.

The Scoop: Nance went back to the locker room late in the third quarter but returned to the Pelicans bench to open up the fourth quarter. He should be considered good to go for the final period.

Heads to locker room
Nance went back to the locker room during Wednesday's Game 2 against the Thunder with what seemed to be a right leg issue, Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

The Scoop: Nance exited the contest late in the third quarter and went back to the Pelicans' locker room. While he's absent, Jonas Valanciunas could see more of the center work while Naji Marshall and Dyson Daniels could slide into larger roles. Nance should be considered questionable to return.
