| Detroit assigned Stanley to the G League's Motor City Cruise on Sunday. The Scoop:After getting only three minutes off the bench Friday in the Pistons' 119-103 loss to the Magic, Stanley will head to the G League in search of playing time. Stanley's third 10-day contract with Detroit is set to expire at the end of the month, at which point the Pistons will have to decide whether to keep him on the roster for the rest of the season or allow him to reach free agency. The Scoop: Detroit's team-wide COVID-19 outbreak looks to be nearing its end, as does Stanley's time with the NBA squad. With the Pistons set to return as many as six players from the health and safety protocols ahead of Monday's game against the Bucks, Stanley wasn't likely to be active for the contest even if he hadn't been assigned to the G League. After signing a 10-day deal with Detroit on Dec. 26, Stanley appeared in three games, averaging 10.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.3 three-pointers and 1.3 steals in 27.3 minutes per contest.
