 Not retained by Orlando

The Scoop:Harris spent the past two seasons in Orlando after striking a two-year, two-way deal with the Magic in the summer of 2022. He appeared in 34 games for the Magic in 2022-23, but with the club becoming more competitive in 2023-24 and reaching the playoffs, Harris was often inactive and saw action in just two contests at the NBA level. Harris was solid at G League level with the Osceola Magic in 2023-24 -- he averaged 16.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.9 three-pointers and 1.0 steals in 28.8 minutes per game while shooting 49.2 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from three-point range over 27 appearances -- but since he already turned 27 years old earlier this month, it's unlikely that another organization will view him as a development piece worthy of a two-way spot during the upcoming season.

The Scoop: Harris led Osceola in scoring, although he still finished with a minus-15 net rating on a night when Indiana's starting unit controlled the game. With Saturday representing the regular season finale in the G League and Osceola having locked up the top seed in the Eastern Conference, Mac McClung and Trevelin Queen did not play.

The Scoop: Harris slotted into an Osceola starting lineup that compiled 129 points Thursday. Mac McClung led the way with 40 points, while the team collectively rained in 61 of a staggering 109 shot attempts. While Thursday's contest pushed the data, Birmingham grades as the G League's worst defense this season.

The Scoop: Harris cannot find consistent rhythm from beyond the arc, but he remains locked into a consistent role for Osceola. There will likely be better days ahead for the second-year guard who has a strong track record of shooting success and scoring efficiency.

Struggles in G League Sunday

The Scoop: Harris failed to connect on a three-point attempt for the third time in his past five contests, and he has posted just 3-for-17 shooting from deep over that span. He still finished with a plus-six net rating during his time on the court Sunday, symbolic of his positive two-way impact.
