Von Wafer took to Twitter to beg for another opportunity to get back into the NBA.

Von Wafer on Twitter

The Scoop:"I'm not ashamed to get on social media and beg for an opportunity back in the NBA," Wafer posted to his Twitter account. "I don't care about nothing, just give me an opportunity." Wafer hasn't played at the NBA level since the 2011-12 season, and he's been trying to make it back ever since. Odds are his plea will fall upon deaf ears.

On the anniversary of the deal that swapped one for the other (along with Von Wafer), remember their time in Boston with these two clips.

The Scoop: None.

How many guys do we see get the Summer League MVP and then they’ll be like, ‘Oh, yeah, he’s a potential All-Star, yeah, he’s got a bright future,’ and then they just turn out to be average players? Remember Von Wafer? Sure you do.

The Scoop: None.

Ben Gordon and Flip Murray are taking a less frantic approach than Von Wafer came through with earlier in the offseason, but both would like to be back in the NBA if you wouldn’t mind. At ages 33 and 37, respectively, both are undersized shooting guards that can handle the ball in a pinch (Murray produced a solid assist rate at one point), but prefer to do their work as scorers and shooters while pining for that extra two inches of height that Jamal Crawford (still chugging along at age 36) was blessed with. Murray hasn’t played in the NBA since his Chicago Bulls lost to LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers – LeBron James’ old Cleveland Cavaliers – in 2010.

The Scoop: None.
