| Smith underwent an ACL reconstruction on his left knee Tuesday and will remain out indefinitely, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports. The Scoop:Smith didn't make make his NBA debut during his rookie season, but he did make 18 appearances (nine) with the G League's Motor City Cruise, averaging 8.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 22.5 minutes per game. He's been sidelined since March 8 and can safely be ruled out for the rest of the season, but it remains unclear how the surgery will impact his availability for the 2022-23 campaign.
