Game ETLatest Player News...
Holiday logged 15 points (7-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 11 rebounds, four assists and one block in 43 minutes during Monday's 106-88 victory over the Mavericks in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

The Scoop:Holiday was incredible for the Celtics in five NBA Finals games, averaging 14.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.6 blocks while shooting 45.5 percent from the field. The 34-year-old proved to be a crucial addition to the Celtics winning title No. 18 -- it was also Holiday's second NBA Championship in just four years. The defensive mastermind averaged 13.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.6 blocks while shooting 50.3 percent from the field across 19 playoff games.

Limited to nine points
Holiday amassed nine points (4-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt), four rebounds, five assists and one steal across 42 minutes during Wednesday's 106-99 win over Dallas in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

The Scoop: Holiday was coming off an impressive 26-point performance in the Game 2 victory, but he couldn't reach double-digit figures in this one -- something that hadn't happened since a 118-94 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on May 9. However, the veteran floor general has shown his experience throughout the series against Dallas, and he remains valuable even when he's not scoring at a high rate. Perhaps even more impressive is that he's yet to commit a turnover in the series while handing out 13 assists.

Goes for 26-point double-double
Holiday logged 26 points (11-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal across 41 minutes during Sunday's 105-98 win over the Mavericks in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

The Scoop: Jayson Tatum had a rough showing from the field, so Holiday stepped up offensively and led the Celtics in scoring while also recording solid contributions in other categories, most notably grabbing a playoff-high mark in rebounds. Holiday has surpassed the 20-point mark in just two of his last six playoff appearances, but he compensates for that lack of scoring production with solid contributions in other categories and elite defense.

Well-rounded two-way effort
Holiday accumulated 12 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and one steal in 35 minutes during Thursday's 107-89 victory over Dallas in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

The Scoop: In addition to Holiday's solid stats, which included zero turnovers, he was a team-high plus-20. Not only that, but no Mavericks player registered a field-goal attempt while Holiday was the primary defender. While Holiday is expected to play a smaller offensive role than the last time he was in the NBA Finals with the Bucks, he will remain one of the most impactful defenders in this series.

Sniffs double-double in Game 4
Holiday ended Monday's 105-102 victory over the Pacers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals with 17 points (7-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds and two assists over 38 minutes.

The Scoop: Holiday was deemed available despite being initially tabbed questionable due to an illness for the second game in a row, and he made his presence felt as a do-it-all, two-way guard in an offensive scheme in which he occupies a secondary role. Despite the fact Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown often carry the Celtics, Holiday had some excellent performances against the Pacers, averaging 18.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.3 steals per game in the series.
