Grizzlies waive G Tony Wroten. The Scoop:He only played six minutes in the preseason and never really had much of a chance. Wroten did score 16.9 points per game back in 2014-15, but an injury to his knee may have derailed him. He might have to head overseas this year. Oct 7 12:00 ET - | ||||||||
Trans. Feb 1 1:05 ET Terry Rozier put together a pretty nice impression of Kyrie Irving on Wednesday night. With Irving sidelined by a quad injury, Rozier logged his first career triple-double in his first NBA start to help the Boston Celtics to a 103-73 victory over the New York Knicks. Rozier collected 17 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists to become just the second player in NBA history with a triple-double in his first start, joining Tony Wroten for Philadelphia on Nov. 13, 2013, according to Elias Sports Bureau. The Scoop: None. Feb 1 1:05 ET |

You’ll recall that the 22-year-old Cameroonian big man long ago adopted “Trust the Process” — a phrase popularized during the years-long rebuild overseen by Sixers general manager/submarine commander Sam Hinkie, as communicated by then-Philly guard Tony Wroten to ESPN’s Pablo Torre (“They tell us every game, every day, ‘Trust the Process.’ Just continue to build.”) — as something of a personal credo. The Scoop: None. Nov 1 5:05 ET |
Trans. Oct 7 1:50 ET MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- The Memphis Grizzlies have waived guard Tony Wroten after he played in one preseason game. The Scoop: None. Oct 7 1:50 ET |
