Jackson (quadriceps) won't play Sunday against the Nuggets, as expected.

The Scoop:Memphis' playoff hopes were over several weeks ago, so the Grizzlies essentially shut down most of their roster. Jackson ended up making 66 appearances this season, posting averages of 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.6 blocks, 1.2 steals and 1.8 three-pointers while shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 32.0 percent from beyond the arc and 80.8 percent from the line.

Unlikely to return in 2023-24
Head coach Taylor Jenkins said Tuesday that there is a "good chance" Jackson (quadricep) won't play again this season, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

The Scoop: With Memphis already being eliminated from the playoffs and Jackson having already played in 65 games to qualify for an All-NBA team, it's not surprising that the team is leaning toward shutting him down for the campaign. The 24-year-old will miss a third consecutive game Tuesday with right quad tendinitis, but the injury isn't anything that should affect his training during the offseason. Assuming he doesn't make any appearances in Memphis' final three games, the big man will end the 2023-24 campaign having averaged 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.8 three-pointers, 1.6 blocks and 1.2 steals in 32.2 minutes across 66 appearances. While Jackson's blocks per game decreased from 3.0 that he posted last season en route to Defensive Player of the Year honors, his 22.5 points per game were a career-high mark.

Won't play Tuesday
Jackson (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Spurs.

The Scoop: Jackson will miss a third straight game due to a lingering quad issue after suiting up for the previous nine matchups. Tuesday's game is the first half of a back-to-back set, so Jackson may return Wednesday in Cleveland. However, at this point, the Grizzlies may just shut down their regulars for the final week of the regular season.

Ruled out again
Jackson (quadriceps) has been ruled out of Saturday's matchup with the 76ers.

The Scoop: After suiting up for nine straight games, Jackson will miss his second straight due to right quadriceps tendinitis. In his absence, Brandon Clarke (Achilles), Trey Jemison and Lamar Stevens figure to all be available for increased run at center. The next opportunity for Jackson to suit up will come Tuesday against the Spurs.

Ruled out for Friday's game
Jackson has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pistons due to right quadriceps tendinitis.

The Scoop: Jackson hasn't missed a game since mid-March, but he'll sit out Friday after totaling 75 points over his last two appearances. Brandon Clarke (Achilles) has also been ruled out, so Trey Jemison and Lamar Stevens could see increased run in the frontcourt Friday.
