Jackson is expected to agree to a five-year, $240 million contract extension with the Grizzlies, Shams Charania of ESPN reports Monday.

The Scoop:Jackson will remain in Memphis on a long-term deal after signing a maximum renegotiation-and-extension. The two-time All-Star is coming off another productive year in 2024-25, during which he averaged 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 three-pointers, 1.5 blocks and 1.2 steals across 29.8 minutes per game in 74 regular-season appearances. He also recorded shooting splits of 48.8/37.5/78.1.

Struggles in elimination game
Jackson amassed 12 points (3-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block over 35 minutes during Saturday's 117-115 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

The Scoop: Jackson struggled with efficiency as the Grizzlies fell 4-0 to the Thunder in the first round. The All-Star shot only 37.9 percent from the field in the series, during which he averaged just 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals across 34.0 minutes per game. Jackson was named an All-Star for the second time in his career during a productive campaign on both ends of the floor, and he finished the regular season with averages of 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.2 steals across 29.8 minutes per game in 74 appearances.

Pours in 22 points in loss
Jackson contributed 22 points (7-16 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 38 minutes during Thursday's 114-108 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

The Scoop: Jackson posted 20-plus points for the second consecutive game, finishing as the club's second-leading scorer Thursday. However, the star big man shot only 2-for-6 in the final quarter. Jackson is averaging 17.3 points and 5.3 rebounds across 33.7 minutes per game during the first round, and the Grizzlies will need him to step up if they have any chance to overcome a 3-0 series deficit.

Bounces back in Game 2 loss
Jackson recorded 26 points (10-18 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT) and six rebounds over 35 minutes in Tuesday's 118-99 loss to the Thunder in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

The Scoop: Jackson put up just four points in Game 1, but he rebounded in Game 2 to lead the Grizzlies in scoring, though he did finish with a minus-20 point differential. It's been a tough first two games for Jackson and the Grizzlies, who haven't managed to crack 100 points in either contest. They'll look to avoid a 3-0 hole in Game 3 at home in Memphis on Thursday.

Invisible in Game 1 loss
Jackson ended Sunday's 131-80 loss to the Thunder in Game 1 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with four points (2-13 FG, 0-4 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and one steal across 28 minutes.

The Scoop: The usage was there for Jackson, but he had a miserable night shooting the ball. It was a brutal game for most of Memphis' key players as well. Jackson didn't have much success against the Thunder in three regular-season contests, averaging 19.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists while shooting 36.5 percent from the field.
