 Team option picked up

The Scoop:Instead of hitting free agency this offseason, Brown will be under contract in Toronto for one more season. In 2023-24, the 26-year-old guard averaged 10.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 27.9 minutes across 67 appearances split between the Pacers and Raptors. Brown's expiring contract could also be a valuable trade piece for Toronto.

Upgraded to available
Brown (knee) is available for Friday's game against the Heat, Kayla Grey of TSN reports.

The Scoop: Brown and Gary Trent (back) have been upgraded from questionable to available. Brown has appeared in just 13 of Toronto's last 19 games and averaged 11.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 27.8 minutes during that stretch.

Iffy for Friday's game
Brown (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against Miami.

The Scoop: Brown missed Wednesday's game against the Nets due to right knee inflammation, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to return Friday. If he's sidelined again, Javon Freeman-Liberty, Garrett Temple and Jalen McDaniels could see increased run.

Officially ruled out
Brown (knee) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Nets, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The Scoop: Brown has been downgraded from questionable to out Wednesday while dealing with right knee inflammation. In his absence, Javon Freeman-Liberty, Garrett Temple and Jalen McDaniels are candidates to receive increased minutes off Toronto's bench. Brown's next chance to suit up is Friday's matchup with Miami.

Questionable against Brooklyn
Brown (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Nets, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.

The Scoop: Wednesday's game is the second leg of a back-to-back set, so the Raptors could exercise caution with Brown's knee. The Raptors are expected to be very shorthanded, so if Brown does get the green light, he could see a bump in usage.
