Ford (hip) isn't listed on Sacramento's injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Suns.

The Scoop:Ford appears to have moved past a hip injury he suffered toward the end of the G League campaign. However, the two-way guard isn't guaranteed to see playing time at the NBA level.

Won't play Thursday
Ford (hip) is out for Thursday's game against the Pelicans.

The Scoop: Ford ended up sitting out Sunday in the G League Stockton Kings' loss to the Oklahoma City Blue in the Western Conference Finals and will now end up missing a second straight game with Sacramento since rejoining the NBA club. The two-way guard has just two more opportunities to play this season (Friday versus the Suns, Sunday versus the Trail Blazers).

Deemed questionable for Thursday
Ford is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Pelicans with right hip soreness.

The Scoop: With the G League's Stockton Kings having wrapped up their season Sunday with a loss to the Oklahoma City Blue in the Western Conference Finals of the G League playoff, Ford will be with Sacramento for the remainder of the season due to his standing as a two-way player. However, because he missed Sunday's G League game with the hip injury, Ford won't be rejoining the Kings at full health. Even if he's cleared to play Thursday, Ford is unlikely to be included in head coach Mike Brown's rotation.

Misses G League finale with injury
Misses G League finale with injury

The Scoop: Ford had recently been sidelined for just under three weeks with a back injury, but he returned to action Thursday for Stockton's playoff opener against the Santa Cruz Warriors, though he was limited to just 12 minutes. He may have suffered the hip injury at some point during his return and wasn't able to overcome the issue in time for what proved to be Stockton's final game of the season Sunday. Ford is a two-way player, so he could still have an opportunity to get some minutes over the final week of the NBA season with Sacramento, provided he's able to quickly move past his hip injury.

Plays 12 minutes in G League return
Plays 12 minutes in G League return

The Scoop: Ford, one of Sacramento's two-way players, hadn't played at the NBA or G League level since March 17 while managing a back injury. He was cleared to return for the start of Stockton's playoff run, though Ford was clearly limited Thursday, as he came off the bench and played 20 minutes less than his season-long average. Assuming he came out of Thursday's contest free of setbacks, Ford could see his playing time pick up in the Western Conference Finals on Sunday, when Stockton will host the winner of Friday's Oklahoma City Blue-Sioux Falls Skyforce matchup.
