The Scoop:Augustin saw 20 minutes of court time for the first time in four games, and he finished with his most points since March 21. The veteran point guard took all of his shots from beyond the arc, making three of four attempts in 20 minutes. Augustin is shooting an impressive 68.6 percent from the field over his past eight contests, and he has averaged 2.3 three-pointers over that stretch. The Scoop: Augustin was on fire from beyond the arc, connecting on all six of his three-point attempts. He led the Lakers bench in scoring and minutes played. Augustin is a breath of fresh air for a Los Angeles squad that hovers near the bottom-third of the league in three-point shooting percentage. The Scoop: Augustin went 4-for-7 from deep Wednesday and paced Los Angeles' reserves in scoring, though he failed to contribute much in other categories. The Scoop: Augustin was brought aboard by the Lakers earlier in the week to provide backcourt depth, and the veteran came through with a team-leading six dimes and three thefts despite playing only 22 minutes in his team debut. He has never been a prolific scorer, but Augustin could help the Lakers as a distributor and shooter -- he is shooting 38.0 percent from three-point range over the course of his career.
