| Trans. Apr 10 6:43 ET Carter led Daytona Beach Mainland High School to the 1995 Class 6A boys basketball state title, then went on to star at the University of North Carolina. He left after his junior season and was drafted fifth overall in 1998 by the Golden State Warriors, who then traded Carter to the Toronto Raptors for his UNC teammate, Antawn Jamison.
