Apr 28 2:17 ET As part of a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Atlanta Hawks forward Vince Carter recanted a conversation he shared with Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant prior to his passing in January. Carter burst onto the NBA scene in 1998. The Florida native was the 5th overall pick by the Golden State Warriors, but he was traded to Toronto for Antawn Jamison, who was the fourth overall pick and Carter’s teammate at the University of North Carolina.
