| David Nwaba: Staying in Houston Nwaba (wrist) has agreed to a three-year, $15 million contract to stay with the Rockets, independent NBA writer Marc Stein reports. The Scoop: Nwaba underwent surgery on his wrist in March and is out indefinitely, but that didn't stop him from signing a three-year contract with the Rockets. In his first season with Houston, the 28-year-old averaged 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 22.6 minutes per game. Nwaba, when healthy, will have a significant role as an versatile defender off the bench even with talented players like Kevin Porter and 2021 No. 2 overall pick Jalen Green on the roster.
