| Joining Miami Champagnie signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Heat on Friday. The Scoop: Champagnie spent time at the NBA level last season between the Celtics and Raptors in 2022-23 and also suited up in 23 games for the Heat's G League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Though the 6-foot-6 forward ended the campaign as a member of Boston's 15-man roster, he was cut loose in July and will now rejoin the Heat organization. Champagnie will get the chance to battle for a roster spot in training camp, but the Heat signed him mainly for the purpose of retaining his G League rights heading into the 2023-24 season. In his 23 appearances for the Skyforce in 2022-23, Champagnie averaged 18.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 31.3 minutes. Aug 11 7:35 ET |
