The Knicks signed Roby to an Exhibit 10 contract Saturday. The Scoop:Roby was let go from his two-year contract by the Knicks on Wednesday. However, he will likely be waived yet again in order to spend the 2023-24 season with the Westchester Knicks of the G League. Oct 21 8:20 ET - | ||||||||
Isaiah Roby: Moves past ankle issue Roby (ankle) has appeared in all three of the Knicks’ Las Vegas Summer League games to date, averaging 8.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 24.1 minutes per contest. The Scoop: Roby didn't appear in any games after the All-Star break this past season while managing an ankle sprain, but he appears to have received a clean bill of health for the summer. After being waived by the Spurs in March, Roby signed a two-year pact with the Knicks on April 9. However, since the 2023-24 portion of the deal is non-guaranteed, he'll essentially be competing for a roster spot with the Knicks through his performance this summer and during training camp and the preseason.
